Whether it is a theatrical reading, a premiere, a private party, a new-product introduction, a press conference, a small musical performance, a seminar or special event, the SVA Theatre provides a beautiful space and high-tech venue.
Our technology includes the very best changeover system, 35mm, 16mm and D-cinema with Dolby surround sound - all finely tuned to produce one of the largest and best images in New York.
Our digital D-cinema equipment in both theaters can handle multiple formats of HD content; live video feeds and multiple inputs from PC or Mac computers. The entire facility is set up for WIFI Internet access and is integrated into SVA's computer network.
There are two theaters, seating 479 and 266. Both have newly-installed lecture stages, perfect for panels, presentations, Q & A sessions and the like. Even modest performances can be staged, utilizing professional theatrical lighting and dimming and, of course, full multimedia capabilities.
The inviting seats are deeply cushioned with generous legroom and perfect sightlines. Of course, all public areas are disability-friendly and assistive technology is available. The entire facility is professionally staffed with managers, technicians, security and maintenance personnel.
Always on hand are podiums, tables, chairs and wireless microphones to guarantee trouble-free and effective shows, lectures, classes, debates, seminars and meetings of all kinds.
